Creation is a cool thing that humans often do. My whole life I’ve admired creation and coveted the ability to create. As a child, I saw creation as immaculate, and that people who created were chosen. Age made it easier to understand the persistence required to build talent. Asiimov wanted to write, so he wrote every day. Beeple wanted to be a talented artist, so he made art every day. These anecdotes feel scientific enough for me to fervently believe that this strategy is reproduceable for just about anyone with a desire.
The childish desire to invent and create is something that I’d like to hold on to. It’s also fairly burdenless. I enjoy writing and drawing, but don’t desire a life of creating only art or writing. Just about everything that humans make, from music to biological weapons is interesting in one way or another.
Day one, I’m creating this website, and accepting the shame of the early days before they happen. Hopefully some beauty can come about through practice.
Should be easy enough, all I have to do is make something every day.
