I once again made an articulated chain. It’s good practice.

I’m working on creating cylinders with beveled cubes. When making a cylinder this way, I have a little bit more control over how its top and bottom faces angle.

Rather than cutting cylinders with angled object, or arranging the verts at an angle (oof), the bevel tool on a cube works nicely.

A long-term lesson to learn is that certain edits are set in stone. A lot of edits are easy to undo, to work with. However, after operations like cutters are done to the geometry, operations like scaling do not work the same.

I’ve noticed this with previous projects. Oftentimes it has little to no effect. However, as a skill-building practice, I’d rather learn away from bad habits.
