A customer ended up asking for a refund for an item on my Etsy store today. It inspired me to rework a product I created for it.

This telescopic pole with assembly is said product. Its goal is to have a sign attached, extend and be stable.

The version I sold the customer broke unfortunately. The design is now improved. Blessing in disguise.

Rather than fitting together compliantly, this screws together (while also being telescopic and somewhat print-in-place).

The assembly with compliance had issues anyways. I had noticed it getting stuck, and hoped customers would be gentle enough to not force the pieces together.

Rather than babying my creations, I will now stress test them like I’m Vlad the Impaler.
